PATIENTS IN HOSPITAL.
TWO IN SERIOUS CONDITION. The condition of the tram conductor, Mr. C. R. J. Miller, who received severe head injuries as the result of falling from the back platform of a tram in Manukau Road, Epsom, on Friday last, was stated by Auckland Hospital authorities to-day to be still unchanged. He has not regained consciousness and his condition is very serious.'
Mr. James Maskell, deputy-superin-tendent of the Mount, Eden Fire Brigade, is not now in a serious condition. He received head injuries on Tuesday morning when he ran backwards into a telegraph pole opposite the lire station. The condition of James Arkliurst, aged 20, of Pukekolie, who was knocked down by a motor lorry whilst riding on his push-bicycle at Takanini on Sunday, is still very serious. There has been practically 110 alteration in his condition since he was injured.
