MISSING FARMER.

SEEN BY MAORI YESTERDAY.

No trace of Mr. Samuel Gregory, farmer,' of Woodhill, has yet been discovered. Mr. Gregory has been missing from his home since 9.30 on Wednesday morning, when he went out with a shotgun. Members of the family became alarmed when he had not returned by late in the evening, and soon search parties from both Woodhill and Rewhiti were organised. A Maori said that he saw Mr. Gregory yesterday morning making towards the sandhills behind Woodhill, so that the search parties are now concentrating in that area. It was at first thought that the missing farmer might have gone to his cottage at Muriwai, where his wife is lying ill, but he did not'do so. Mr. Gregory, who is well known in both the Woodhill and Rewhiti districts, has been in ill health lately.
