INDIAN PEASANTS. Clash With State Troops In Ahvar. 1 ENGLISHWOMAN INJURED. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright! (Received i.30 p.m.) CALCUTTA, January 3. ; Fresh trouble occurred in the recently-disturbed State of Ahvar, •peasants attacking the Hindus for j^refusing to support them iii their against the State Adminis--tration. State troops were dispatched to the scene, and later in the day a clash occurred, the peasants opening lire. The jgtroops returned the action. Casualties .are not known. :f Peasants have taken up a hostile attitude over a wide area, stoning State '..officials' care, one of which contained, an "Englishwoman, who was severely cut j;and bruised. The Maharajah of Alwar is deeply condeemed -at the developments. He is at «pret?ent in Delhi,- wliere he is appealing the Indian Government to prevent "outside interference with the State 'Administration, which, he suggests, is ".responsible for the existing. hostility.
