CITY MISHAPS.
SEAMAN HURT ON SCOW. There were several minor accidents in the streets and at the beaches during the .week-end. Head injuries were received by a member of the scow Belle Huon, Mr. James Egginton, aged 41, through being struck by a block of wood on Saturday. The accident happened at sea, but when the bcow arrived in Auckland on Sunday morning early, Mr. Egginton was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. He lives at 61, Airedale Street. His condition is not serious. While at play with some friends on Waiheke Island on Saturday afternoon, Harold Holmes, aged 17, received concussion, resulting from a hard knock. He was taken by launch to Maraetai, and then by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His home is in Park Koad, Grafton. On Saturday afternoon, a schoolgirl, Irene Einney, aged 13, was knocked down by a cycle in Newton, and suffered concussion. She was able to proceed home, but later on it was found advisable to remove her to the Auckland Hospital, to which she was taken by the St. John Ambulance. Her home is at 33, Cobden Street, Newton. Mrs. Lilian Oliphant, aged 45, fractured one ankle on New Year's Day, ■when she slipped on a rock at Campbell's Bay. Mrs. Oliphant, who lives at 29, Allison Avenue, Devonport, was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital.
SHOOTING ACCIDENT.

A fourteen-year-old boy, Eric Champ, of Woolston, is in hospital in a serious condition ae a result of an accident with a pea rifle -while shooting at Hanmer. A bullet entered his head over the right eye. ran INTO GUN PIT. AUCKLANDER INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) DUNEDIN, this day. A married man, Mr. Martin G. Brown, aged 47, of Auckland, was taken to •hospital yesterday suffering from a compound fracture of the right leg as a result of falling into one of the disused gun pits at Otago Heads. MISHAPS AT WABKWORTE AUCKLAND MOTORIST'S ESCAPE. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") WARKWORTH, this day. A car, driven by Mr. H. Grange, of Newmarket, capeized on a steep hill near Warkworth and rolled down a bank until it was held by a fence. Mr. Grange had a. narrow escape of serious accident. Miss Berenice Toovey, of Warkworth, tripped over seaweed on the beach and dislocated one of her knees. Dr. Hart Osborne had to administer an anaesthetic on the beach before she could receive attention.
GIRL PAULS TO DEATH.
BODY NEAR PRECIPICE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDLN, Monday. A fall from the top of a cliff at Karitane, near Waikouaiti, on Saturday afternoon resulted in the death of a Joan Ellen Skinner, aged Ui years. * The victim was found badly crushed at the foot of an almost perpendicular precipice. Death had apparently been instantaneous.
