LIFE OF MARTYRDOM.
Tribute to Memory of Great Radiologist. FRENCH EXPERT PASSES. PARIS, December 22. "His life was a long martyrdom in the cause of science," is among the tributes paid to the memory of the great French radiologist, Georgo Sharet, who died studying to the last the eifects of disease on his own flesh. He contracted a radium burn during the war and since had undergone many operations. He continued his work on radium research and his sufferings seemed only a further incentive. After M. Sharet had undergone a most severe operation the then President, M. Doumer, visited the hospital and pinned the cross of the Legion of Honour upon his breast.
