STRANGE ACCIDENT.

Mrs. Catherine Blair, of 3, Chatham Street, Mount Eden, met with a singular accident last evening. She was walking along the footpath when a piece of flying rubber from a tyre that burst on a passing motor ear struck her in the abdomen. She was knocked to the ground, and was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. Her condition to-day was satisfactory.
