SALESMAN'S THEFT.
MORE THAN £1000 ALLEGED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Charles Edgar" McPeak, a salesman, aged 43, was charged at the Police Court this morning with the theft of £100, about January 22 last, the property of Mary Rothney Orr. The chief detective said that McPcak had admitted the theft of £850, and the complainant alleged that it was a good deal more than that, £1500.
