STORE SHEEP TRADE.
POVERTY BAY'S SURPLUS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GISBORNE, this day. During recent weeks considerable business has been .passing in eheep for outside districts, sales having been concluded for the South Island, Hawke'e Bay and Waikato. Two-tooth ewes have been making about 10/ to 11/, with up to 12/ for good lines. Cull ewes and two-tooth wethers are quoted at 6/ to 7/, and fourtooth wethers, 8/ to 9/. So far sales have not been very large, but during the next few months it is expected that outside districts will be coming to Poverty Bay for the usual large proportion of store stock, and it is thought probable that well over 100,000 will .be disposed of before the end of the season. •
