DISPLAY OF WORK.
TECHNICAL COIXEGE. Visitors to the display of work by the Seddon Memorial Technical College students at the college yesterday were greatly impressed' with the standard of the various exhibits and the comprehensive nature of the school activities. A demonstration that attracted much attention was the dress parade given by the girls from the dressmaking classes, who wore the clothing they had designed, which included summer frocks, evening gowns, costumes and overcoats, and other smart garments. Here, as in other depaftmental displays, goods were on sale in aid of the various school activities. Considerable interest was shown in the cooking demonstrations, as also in the art exhibition. In this there were some very creditable paintings, drawings and formal designs, and also clever metal, leather and woodcraft 'work. There were interesting displays in the engineering workshops, machine rooms, electrical laboratories, carpentry workshops, printing rooms, and chemical laboratories.
