AUSTRALIA'S RECOVERY. NEW ZEALAND FAR BEHIND. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNE DIN, this day. The Rev. Dr. Kelly, who recently arrived from Ireland, where he assisted at the Eucharistic Congress as member of the suite of the Archbishop of Sydney, says he found that Australia bad made a wonderful recovery during Jus absence. The revival was not so marke in Sydney as in Melbourne, and Adelaide was even better than Melbourne. New Zealand was evidently deeper in the mire than it was when he left 1 February, Dr. Kelly said. Australia baa tackled her big problems seriously ana fearlessly. New Zealand had not. were still extravagant and over governed, and at what a cost to o million and a half people!. , Australia, lie added, was well roii the corner," while New Zealand had even come in sight of its "corner.
