(By Telegraph-—Special to "Star.") DUXEDIX, this day. The Forbury Park Trotting Club's spring meeting, which opened on Thursday, is being finalised in showery weather and the course is sticky. There is a good crowd present.

Neck; length. Time. 3.20 1-5. TRADESMAN FOR TAKAPUNA. Tradesman was not accepted for in sprint company at Takapuna to-day, but he is to be a starter on the second day at the Shore. The Kaeeful—Lady Bird wood gelding was brought through from Hamilton to-day. Tradesman won in sprint company at Avondale with 8.3 and at Cambridge (six and a half furlongs) with 8.12. He subsequently failed at Ellerslie with 0.5 and 9.2 respectively. Tradesman has not raced since and the brief respite he has had has benefited him. Past experience shows that he goes well when fresh.

ROYAL VISITOR HERE. Royal Visitor was brought through from- the Waikato to-day t'oi; racing on the concluding day of the Takapuna meeting, at which he has an engagement in high-weight company. The Lucullus— Sports Queen gelding scored over hurdles on the concluding day of the Auckland Club's summer meeting. He has kept his condition well in the interval.
