WANTED—TEETOTAL HANGMAN

(Received. 11 a.m.? WARSAW, November 25. Poland is seeking a teetotal hangman. The last holder of the office was dismissed for drunkenness while on duty. Arthur Braun was appointed with two assistants and they all adjourned to a public-house to celebrate their good fortune. The three shortly became very drunk and beat the occupants of the bar with brandy bottles. Braun was immediately dismissed. The Minister of Justice is now pondering over'the qualification of 120 applicants for the hangmanship.
