Mr. Thomas Norman Broeas, aged 64 years, one of the oldest settlers of. the district, died suddenly at Wharerakau, near Rawene, early this morning. He had been hurrying"to the cream launch and was assisting in the unloading of cargo when he collapsed. Heart failure was the cause of death.
