GREENHITHE INSTITUTE.
A concert and dance was held in the Greenliithe Public Hall 011 November 19; to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the Women's Institute. The building was recently repaired and painted, enhancing the effect of the gaily decorated hall within, the work being carried out voluntarily by members of the social club and the Women's Institute. The programme was given by Mrs. Shirley, Miss Tullet, Miss Wilson and Miss Walker. Mrs. Malcolm and Mrs. McCallum were the accompanists. Miss V. Zinian gave an excellent rendering, of Tennyson's. "Lady Godiva." Two of Milne's plays, "A Mock Beggar," and "A Quiet Chat" were given by members of the institute. ■ The characters were represented by Mesdames Churchouse, Hutchings, McCallum, Sexton, Tate and Misses Conlan and Crozier, and a round "London Street Cries" was given by Women Institute members. The birthday cake was made by Mrs. Wakeley. Dancing was wards indulged in, and visiting members and friends from the sister institutes were present.
