It is expected that the plant will be operating next month. At the date of the report there were no calls in arrears. The company had secured a prospecting license for an additional 39 acres (approximately) of land adjoining the claim. In the opinion of the company's advisers, this portion should prove of very great value. An official opening is to be arranged. MAHAKIPAWA GOLDFIELDS. The mine manager of Mahakipawa Goldfields, Ltd. MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Golconda.—South end : The drive on the reef was extended to 22ft. The reel' is now a compact body of ore about 2Jft wide, but it is dipping in an opposite direction to what the Cambria reef should dip. There is water coming out of hanging wall country, and we intend next week to continue the south crosscut aud develop this reef at the same time. In my opinion there is more quartz ahead, and this reef is only a portion of the main ore body. North end : The crosscut through the break was advanced to 48ft. There is a change of country in the face, and water is coming through. The reer should bo met with at any time.
