MUNICIPAL CHOIR. A concert will be presented in the Auckland Town Hall on Saturday evening by the Municipal Choir, when many popular and beautiful numbers will be sung. Assisting • artists will be Messrs. E. S. Craston (grand organ), E. Varley Hudson (conductor), Misses Gladys Stormont (vocalist), Jean Clarkson ('cello), and Mrs. V. R. Roach (accompanist). AMATEUR COMPETITIONS CLOSE. With the finalisation of the audiences' popular vote section, the Auckland amateur competitions were brought to a close at the Empress Theatre on Tuesday evening. The following secured a recommendation by the audiences for a sixnight engagement: Misses Jessie Boyd, June Breere, Daphne Harman, Joyce Trainer and Master Maurice Stitt. Misses Boyd, Breere and Trainer constituted one act. ORGAN RECITAL. An organ recital will be given in the Town Hall this evening by Mr. Arthur E. Wilson, honorary city organist. Miss Theo. Halpin and Mr. Len. Barnes will assist. CONCERT AT NEW LYNN. A good audience greeted the Neville Carlsen Revue Company in St. Andrew's Hall, New Lynn, last evening, the effort being in aid of the liall fund. The following contributed: —Mesdames V. Paskell, E. C. Holt, Neville Carlsen, Misses Joy Watts, Mavis Davidson, Joan Tucker, Dot Lawson, Nelda Aslidown, Dorefen Sheehy, June Breere, Joyce Trainer, Jessie Boyd, Willa Katterns, Linda Burgess, Gladys Cain, Zelda Pike, Daphne Harman, Messrs. P. R. Shaw, Ernest Parkinson, Fred Appleton, Cyril Hardy, Neville Carlsen, and Masters Maurice Stitt and Albeit Parkinson. Mrs. Holt was the accompanist. The troupe will give a benefit concert this evening in the King's Theatre, Northcote.
