PRINCE'S REMARK.
MACHINES DISPLACE MEN. LONDON, November 3. The director explained that as it was the height of the canning season, it was impossible to do the necessary work without machinery. He had consulted other employers, he said, and had urged them to think out schemes for giving employment during the winter.
