RIDER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL.

A labourer, Mr. Arthur W. Coulter, aged 32, of Whitford, suffered injuries to his pelvis, with a probable fracture, as the result of a collision between the motor cycle he was riding and a motor car at the corner of St. George's Bay and Parnell Roads a.t 5.30 last evening. He was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition, though serious yesterday, was stated to-day to be improved.
