CARD AFTERNOON.
A successful card party was given by Mrs. Edward Anderson, at her home, Bassett Road, Remuera, yesterday, to raise funds in connection with the work of the Auckland branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, which was formed a few months ago. The rooms were charmingly arranged with Chinese honeysuckle, irises, spraxia, and in the upstairs lounge were all shades of Iceland poppies. There were a . large number of players present. To receive the guests -Mrs. Anderson, the president, wore black georgette, and Mrs. E. Croton, vice-president, was in black georgette and lace.
