SCHOOL HOLIDAY GIVEN.

OPENING OF NEW RAILWAY. The schools at Taumarunui, Taringamotu and Okahukura will have a day's holiday next Monday, November 7, the occasion of the opening of the StratfordMain Trunk railway. The Education Board to-day received a request from the Taumarunui Borough Council that a holiday be allowed. "I think that this request might be granted," said the chairman, Mr. T. U. Wells. "It is a special occasion for them down there."
