WIDE RESPONSE.
COTTON SPINNERS , STRIKE. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 31. There was a widespread response to the Lancashire cotton spinners' etrike this morning. Ten thousand operatives are idle at Rochdale and the stoppage is almost coniplete at Bolton. There are now 40,000 spinners idle at Oldham, but six mills offering the old. rates are fully staffed.
