France Spends Quarter of Her Budget. PREMIER ON DEFICIT. PAEIS, October 31. The French Prime Minister, M. Herriot, in a speech at Poitiers referred to the Budget crieis. He admitted that the deficit for 1933 would be £96,000,000, but said the Government already had saved £41,500,000 by funding the internal debt and £11,500,000 by reducing the military appropriations.' One quarter of the total Budget, he said, went to national defence.
