STREET PREACHER.

PROTEST AGAINST NOISE. The Onehunga Borough Council last night received a letter from Mr. H. J. Mitchell, protesting against the noise caused by street preachers every Friday evening at Tβ Papapa. He asked the council to take the matter up and restore peace and quietness. Mr. T. H. Geraghty said the preacher was known ae a "roarer" and was the same man who used to hold forth in Queen Street, Onehunga, until he had been stopped. Mr. J. A. Cruickehank eaid the man had been such a nuisance when preaching in 'Queen Street that he could not work his telephone. The letter was referred to the inspector.
