PHILISTINES' CLUB.
After a successful season the members of the Philistines' Club held their final revel , for . the year in the Amateur Operatic Society's Hall in Grafton Road, on Saturday evening. There was a particularly large attendance of members and a number of specially invited guests were also present. Mr. H. E._ Gillespie presided. A short programme included humorous and vocal items given by Miss John Ross, Mr. Alan McElwain and Mr. Barry Coney. An original and amusing sketch, entitled "Woman's Clowning Glory," was also given, the parts being taken by Mrs. Estelle Verran, Mrs. J. Pool, Miss Edna Craig, Miss Doreen D'Authreaiv, and Mr. J.
