Harvey, a prominent settler, was out mustering when his horse fell and rolled on him, fracturing his leg. Mr. Harvey had an agonising climb some distance up a hill. By throwing stones at his horse he made the animal gallop and so attracted assistance. Mr. Harvey is a dairy director and a prominent sportsman.
