HIKING ADVENTURE.
Mrs. Rowlatt, formerly of Auckland, who recently returned from Australia .with the intention- of getting to know Xew Zealand, has .started on a hiking tour of the North. She says it is a great adventure, and a very strenuous one, and no one not physically fit should attempt it." She started -by walking to Brown's Bay, where she stayed till Wednesday of last week. From there she walked to Waiwera for afternoon tea, and went on to Warkworth and *o Puhoi. From Warkworth 6he walked to Matakana, and then crossed the Whangaripa Hills and through the valley. .' She should have branched off from the valley for Mangawai, hut did not find the road, and. eo slept out and reached Wellsford for breakfast. She then went on to Mangawai, and when last heard from was on the road about Waipu en route to Whangarei.
