BOATSHEDS ABLAZE.

HOBSON BAY OUTBREAK,

TWO DINGHIES BURNED.

Two dinghies and a quantity of boating gear were destroyed by a fire which broke out in a group of boatsheds in Hobson Bay, at the foot of Logan Terrace, about 10.30 last evening. The Remuera Brigade, after considerable difficulty, stemmed the advance of the fire, and saved other sheds, and craft pulled up nearby. A launch was slightly scorched, but that was all. As the fire was at the bottom of a cliff at the end of-the road, the task of reaching the fire was not an easy one. Five hundred feet ofi hose had to be used. One of the sheds, owned jointly by Messt-s. G. A. Honour and J. Smith, was insured with the N.A. Insurance Office for £110, but the other, owned by Mr. Monds, was not covered.
