478 th Outbreak of Civil Strife In Szechuan. NEPHEW AND* UNCLE FIGHT. (" Times " Cables.) (Received 10.30 a.m.) ' LONDON, October 7. A Shanghai message gays that Nanking is seriously exercised by the conditions in Szechuan, where a fresh civil war has broken out between General Liu-hsiang of Chung-king, and his uncle, General Liu Wen-hui, owing to the former's continual seizure of munitions' transported via the Yangtse River for the latter. This is the 478 t- civil war in that province in the past 20 years.

SHANGHAI, October 7.
The absence of news from Newchwang concerning Mrs. Pawley and Mr. Corkran for the past 12 days is arousing considerable anxiety as to the fate of the captives. However, it is possible that the continual rains are 1 considerably delaying the messengers sent to the bandits' camp.
