GISBORNE WOMAN'S DEATH.

REPORT CONCERNING POISON.

GISBORNE, this day.

To enable a more detailed report to be obtained from the Dominion analyst in regard to the presence of poison in the abdominal organs the coroner has adjourned the inquest into the circumstances relating to the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Beattie. »

Mrs. Beattie (lied on August 7 and the inquest was adjourned for a report by the Government analyst. After an interval of three months the inquest was reopened yesterday. The analyst's report stated that 1.6 grain of poison had been discovered. Mrs. Beattie formerly lived, in South Canterbury, but had been in the Gisborne district for 12 years.
