• Praise. l for Mr. Cosgrave's administra- § ;ion of Ireland was given by Archbjehop I KellVj of Sydney, the leader of the Australian delegation to the Eucharistic I I Congress in Dublin, who has recently I ! returned. Under the Cosgrave Administration, he said, the people of Ireland : were happy and contented, and were ■'* more settled, than ever before. Mr. 5 •'. Cosgrave had done splendid work by Ustablishing efficient government in every ■: sphere. ■'-..- Archbishop.Kelly eaid that he did.not wist to discuss politics, but it was obvi- •> f ousi to the observer that the solidarity of £he Irish nation had increased under thai'Cdsgrave Government. Irrespective ■ ■ of-Teiigioo, Catholice and non-Catholics • were ooettpying important administrai tive, positions side by side. Although only a fifth of the ' population of the ■; I Free State were non-Catholics, they.held ' half the seats in the Senate. Whatever '; . happened in the future, the fruits of this, splendid work would remain.' I Discussing the youth of the present generation, Archbishop Kelly said- that "although in many respects they were ;•: ..unlike those of a few decades ago, they I seemed fundamentally to be very .simi- ' lar. "His advice for anyone who wanted ' to live long and to live well was to live one day at a time and not attempt to <?rowd two days into one.
