The second round of the championships of the Akarana Club was held on Saturday. Results:— Seniors. —,T. Swanson beat G. Coltman, 2 up; V. Bach beat H. Cullen, 4 and 3; B. J. Smith beat J. Coltman, S and 6; F. Hazelden beat L. J. Alinogue, 1 up at the nineteenth. Intermediate.—G. Bttt beat F. Thompson, 3 and 2; L. HaTris teat J. Bugge, 1 up; T. Mitchell beat L. Rose, 3 and 1. Juniors.—A. Shorter beat A. Bennett, 3 and 2 ; E. R. Porter beat M. Winter, 4 and 3; A. Irving beat H. Thomas, 5 and 3 ; H. Hay beat C. Cammick, 6 and 5. The concurrent bogey match was won by B. J. Smith, who from scratch returned a card of 7 up, his gross score being 67. In a first-year players competition for the G. M. Brown farewell trophy the best cards returned were:—C. Cammick. 101 ; F. Olsen, 101 ; D. Wollams, 104; T. Russell, 105 ; G. Styles, 106.
