A frog lias not any outer ears. There is a small hole behind each eye. Inside there is a structure which conducts the sound to a special nerve, which carries it to the brain, where the real hearing is done. The so-called human ear is merely a flap which collects sound, to conduct it to the specialised iun«- hearing apparatus.
