COLOURED COAL.
Coloured coal is finding favour among dealers in America to indicate superior grades. Besides the trade-mark advantages, coloured coal, it is said, enables the distributor to mark definitely the product as. that of a certain blend. Coal, it seems, may come from several different mines, and when mixed in the proper proportion it produces better results. The finding of a colouring matter for coal was not easy. Painte are ruled out because of the odour. The colour is applied in a water solution. After drying it is impervious to the action of water. . '.'■'■ „ -
