WAIHI CRUSHING RETURNS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) "WAIHI, Thursday. The following Information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Gold Mining Company, Limited:— For the period ended September 17, comprising 22 2-3 crushing days, 18,538 tons o£ ore were crushed for a result of 6045 ouncee of fine gold and 38,519 ounces of fine silver This includes 2452 tons from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 1048 ounces of gold and 7144 ounces of silver. No. 3 Level.—Martha lode: Driving west the next 24ft in the reef assaps 11/ a ton. No. 11 Level, 38ft, sub-level.—We are sinking a winze on the north section of the Empire lode at 70ft east of Kingsford crosscut, and the first oft assays 14/ a ton. No. 12 Level.—Martha lode: Driving east of the 261 ft crosscut the first 24ft assavs 2S/C a ton. Driving west the first 13ft assays 22/9 a ton.
