CHANGED HIS MIND. TATE WANTS TO GO. LONDON, September 21. The Tate situation is becoming a comedy. After having previously notified them of his inability to go to Australia, Tate telephoned to the Marylebone Cricket Club this morning saying he felt much better and was anxious to join the team. The secretary of the club advised Tate that he would telephone him later in the week. It is now stated that there is a possibility of Tate going to Australia by a later boat. His principal trouble is that he has lost weight. The question of Tate's inclusion in the team in Australia has been deferred until the selectors' next meeting. TENNIS IN U.S.A. CALIFORNIAN TOURNEY.
