"IT WAS TOUCH AND GO WITH GRANDPA."
Old people may often seem to "make mountains out of molehills," but sometimes tliey are fully justified. For instance, a certain wise old grandma who had passed the 80 mark tells of a time when grandpa had a very close call. An influenza cold had kept grandpa in bed for over a fortnight, and despite careful nursing he made no progress. At night perpetual coughing kept him awake and was sapping his strength. A friendly neighbour, who shared grandma's alarm at there being no signs of recovery, called in one day with a bottle of Baxter's Lung Preserver. From that day grandpa fought a winning fight. "Baxter's" allayed the feverishness, relieved the congestion, and its unique tonic properties assisted in making the recovery rapid. Grandpa still gets an occasional cold, but grandma always flies to the bottle of "Baxter's" and speaks of the time when, as she puts it, "it was touch and go with grandpa."
