The quality again was first-class. Competition was less keen and values for all classes recetled, heavy cattle suffering most. Ltd., report:—To-day, at our weekly Westfield fat stock market, ox beef was penned in average numbers. The quality was again first class, but the demand was hardly as keen, and. values eased. Heavy cattle were penned in more than usual numbers, reflecting the drop in prices most. Cow and heifer beef came forward in larger numbers than last week, and found a ready sale at slightly lower prices.
