BILLIARDS.

SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP. There was again a large attendance at the Central Billiards Rooms last evening, when play was resumed in the snooker championship tourney. Competition was keen, the standard of play being high. E. V. Roberts defeated ,T. Carr, the scores being 60, 72 and 71 against 67, 56 and 62. J. Harding was successful against \V. Peterson, with the scores 41, 64 and 74, to SO, 57 and 41.

This evening McGavey will meet Thompson. Torter will play Mnrton and P. Bax will be matched against H. Bern.
