PAINTING COMPETITION.
Of the 41,403 children who took part in the Bournville painting competition, 1038 were awarded prizes in the Auckland, North Auckland, and Bay of Plenty districts. The competition, which was arranged throughout. New Zealand, was for cWdren between the ages of five and fourteen. They were given an outline of a boy in a Bournville cocoa tin, with a rural background. The sketch had to.be artistically coloured.
