TE KUITI AND WAIKATO. CFrom Our Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, Thursday. The annual meeting of the Te K.uiti Racing Club, held last evening, was presided over by Mr. H. Rothery, when there was a fair attendance of members. The' report showed a loss of £523 4/8 on the year's working. The meeting held on April 9 and 11 showed-,a loss of £381 0/11, though the fields were good and the racing excellent. Except for the financial aspect the meeting was one of the most successful conducted by the club. The committee regretted that after paying stakes and expenses, there was not sufficient money available to pay to Government taxes, ttiere being an amount of £630 15/ still due. Proposals for an amalgamation with the Waipa Racing Club were not accepted by that club. After some discussion as to the club's future, it was unanimously resolved that the president and Mr. J. F. Vercoe approach the Waikatq Racing Club with a view to The meeting was adjourned for three weeks, when the delegates to the Waikato Club will report.
