American Atlantic Flyers Long Overdue. PETROL EXHAUSTED. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, September 15. Now 23 hours overdue, grave fears are being held for the three occupants of the aeroplane, The American Nurse, which left Roosevelt Field, New York, on Tuesday to fly non-stop to Rome. It is estimated that the petrol would have been exhausted at midnight on Wednesday. , The monoplane was last reported reliably by a ship 400 miles south-west of Ireland. Dr. Leon Pisculli, of Yonkers (N.Y.), is in command, with William Ulbrich, of Mineola, Texas, at the pilot's controls, and Miss Edna Newcomer, aged 28, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, a nurse and parachute jumper, as a passenger.
