TEAMS' MATCH. The second series of games for the teams snooker tournament took place last night at Mr. J. l'hlllipps' saloon, when E. Burleigh's team met S. Davis' team. At the end of the first game Davis' team was 46 in arrears, but some clever potting by Davis in the second game evened matters up considerably. The final games were very even all round, Mclvor just getting home by the black agailist Chappell. Davis had a fairly easy win over Burleigh in the last game. Cornthwaire and McGarry had a very interesting tussle, Cornthwaite prevailing by a very narrow margin. Smith and Goldfinch had a hard fight. Smith won the first game easily, but Goldfinch came to light and won the next two games. The aggregate scores were:—Davis' team, 595; Burleigh's team, 554. F. Gray's team will meet D. Jones' team to-night.
