The New Zealand veterans' golf cliam* piouship was continued yesterday' afternoon and thie morning. The eemi-final . between • Lusj? .-&nd Hutchineoti developed into a/■'•'■-ireat struggle, as the Auckland player hfti to give hie opponent-ten strokes, Laek early took the lead at -the second,, also winning the third, but Hutchinson squared" the match at the ninih. The fovferty Bay player annexed the twelfth ' and '" thirteenth. Lusk, however, won' the ■ aexfc two holes, and the,players went'to"the sixteenth all square. This, together with the seventeenth and • were halved. Hutchinson had a great chance to win the match at the eighteenth, missing a two-foot ; putt. At the/nineteenth Hutchinson, although topping his drive, made a good recovery, and halved the hole. At the twentieth Lusk was on the green with his' driven—a yard:from the pin—his opponent resting on the side of the bunker.
