PHAR LAP'S DEATH IN AMERICA.

DUNEDIN, thie day.
A private letter has been received by tjie Mayor of Dunedin, Mr. R. S. Black, from a former Dunedin resident, who is now in the Southern States of America, referring to the death of the racehoree P.har Lap. The writer saye: "They can eay what they like, but that beautiful horse was poisoned. Jealousy over here i<? terrible, and for the almighty dollar they will do many things."
