BIG INCREASE.
BRITAIN'S UNEMPLOYED. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, August 8. The unemployed in Britain at July 25 numbered 2,811,782, an increase of 70,000 compared with June. This was chiefly due to the cotton dispute and a decline in building, coal mining, engineering, and the iron and steel, and shipbuilding industries.
