AMUSEMENTS.

ROXY AND TIVOLI THEATRES,

The current programme at both the Roxy and Tivoli Theatres consists of two films which are well worthy of being screened at a big city house. "Society Girl" and "Aloha" are the two films on the dual programme which has been delighting patrons at these two populp theatres for the past week, but they will conclude their season to-night. They will be replaced by "Shopworn," featuring Barbara Stanwyck, and "By Whose Hand," with Ben Lyon and Barbara Weeks. GRAMMAR SCHOOL CONCERT. The annual concert of the Auckland Grammar School pupils will be given in the Town Hall this evening. A varied programme of selected band, orchestra, choir, solo and drill display items has been arranged. PETER PAN CHARITY DANCE. With music supplied by the Peter Pan Cabaret players a dance will be held in the Peter Pan Cabaret this evening in aid of the Mayor's Unemployment Relief Fund. All expenses are being contributed by the New Zealand Dry Cleaning Company, and the gross takings will be handed over to the Mayor's Fund. HOSPITAL CONCERTS. The Neville Carlsen Revue Co. this week provided an entertainment in Ward 26 of the Public Hospital, patients, nurses and members of the stag being present to witness a programme of song, dance and conjuring provided by Mr. Ken Smith, a newcomer to the troupe. The following contributed to the programme:—Mme. Y. Paskell, Mrs. J. Holt, Misses M. Reilly, D. Laweon, J. Tucker, N. Ashdown, J. Watts, W. Katterns, G. Lelean, J. Trainer, J. Boyd, J. Breere, W. Lockwood, Messrs. K. Smith, J. Reilly, R. T. Watson, W. Audain, L. Porter, J. Holt and Neville Carlsen. Mrs. Holt was the accompanist. On Wednesday the troupe will .provide a conccrt and dance at the Mental Hospital, and on Thursday they will give an entertainment to the inmates of the Knox Home.
