Mrs.' Bertram Peacocke, of Bridgewater Road, Parnell, has left to spend a holiday near Rotorua.

Mrs. M. R. Hocken, of Mount Eden, Auckland, who reached England by the Remuera, via Panama, is now living in Hove, Brighton. She is making a stay of indefinite length.
Mr. and Mrs. William Lilly, of Hereford Street, Christchurch, celebrated their pearl wedding last week, for on that day they completed 65 years of married life, all spent in Canterbuy.
Miss Alma Cole, assistant-secretary of the Auckland Rotary Club, who has just recovered from illness, was heartily welcomed back by the president at yesterday's lunch meeting of the club.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Aldous Clinch, of Auckland, are staying at present at Clacton-on-Sea, in Essex. They travelled by the Aorangi to Sydney, and then joined the Ormonde. Mr. Clinch has come ovpr to see his mother, who is in her 01st year, and they will probably spend two years here, writes our London correspondent.
| Mrs. E. V. Boorne, formerly Mies Anita Pagni, of Auckland, who has been living in the Midlands for the past 18 months, has now gone to Belgium and Holland for a short time. When she returns she will take a motor tour round England. Mrs. Boorne is returning to New Zealand after an absence of two and a half years by the Strathnaver, via Bombay, on October 7, with her baby son, to visit her mother, Mrs. J. H. Pagni, of Remuera, Auckland.
