ART UNION DRAW.
GIRL WINS £2000. CAPTAIN OF HOCKEY TEAM. RESIDENT OF TANGOWAHINE. SECOND PRIZE TO WOODVILLE. The drawing of "Another Black Cat Art Union," promoted to raise funds for the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association," and other objects nominated by the Minister of Internal Affairs, took place at the Town Hall in Wellington this morning. The first prize, £2000, was won by Miss G. Mcintosh, of Tangowaliine, Northern Wairoa. Miss Mcintosh, who is 22, is the eldest daughter of a family of thirteen children. Her parents are share milkers on the Blake Estate, near Tangowaliine. Miss Mcintosh is a prominent hockey player, and is captain of the Hobson team this season. The prize list, as telegraphed by the "Star" correspondent in Wellington, is as under: — First Prize, £2000.—D29705, Miss G. Mcintosh, Tangowaliine, Northern Wairoa.
