MOUNT ROSKILL DANCE.
In aid of funds for the assistance of the needy in the district, the Mount Roskill Welfare Association held a successful dance on Thursday evening in the Crystal Palace, Mount Eden, ine room was tastefully decorated for the occasion with greenery and mimosa, and shaded lights shed a soft glow over all. A feature of the evening was the singing of Mrs. Gladys Stormont and Mr. Robert Simmers, both in solo numbers and duets. The social committee were responsible for a delightful supper, and on the supper tables bowls of Iceland poppies added to an attractive decorative scheme. The hostess was Mrs. McCullough, who wore a frock of black Chantilly lace over cameo pink satin. Among those present were:—Mrs. W. H. Parkinson, who wore a frock of black lace, with coatee of ring velvet; Mrs. J. Donald, black georgette and chenille coatee, relieved with gold; Mrs. O'Connell, flame georgette; Mrs. J. Barclay, ciel blue lace; Mrs. S. J. Schischka, pale pink embroidered georgette; Mrs.' C. Peck, flame georgette and lace; Mrs. R. Rilsley, Chinese red satin beaute; Mrs. A. E. Overden, sunglow satin; Mrs. K. Boswell, black lace; Mrs. B. Herd, floral crepe fleuri; Mrs. J. Clark, cherry coloured georgette; Mrs. Houston, black satin; Mrs. C. Wright, black lace; Mrs. W. E. Gray,-, floral chiffon; Mrs. E. Booth, palest pink and black georgette; Mrs. B. Jones, flame crepe de chine; Mrs. C. Reynolds, floral chifl'on; Mrs. P. Daley, black chiffon; Mrs. J. Dargaville, flame and black satin; Mrs. T. Hogg, cameo pink satin; Mrs. G. Mitchell, black crepe fleuri and silver lace; Mrs. C. Stormont, moonlight blue taffeta; Mrs. J. H. Gregory, old rose crepe fleuri; Mrs. Dobie, black georgette and silver lace; Mrs. A. Coyle, silver grey floral georgette; Mrs. J. W. Wilson, turquoise blue chenille; Mrs. McNaughton, blue georgette; Mrs. Kensington, almond green taffeta; Miss Tilsley, cameo pink satin; Miss Eva Wright, blue crepe fleuri; Miss Ruth Wilson, floral taffeta; Miss N.
