GRAMMAR OLD BOYS.
EXECUTIVE'S ANNUAL REPORT. The annual meeting of the Auckland Grammar School Old Boys' Association will be held in the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, August 26. The executives report draws attention to a drop in the revenue from subscriptions, and makes an appeal that the members, despite the hard times, should keep up their subscriptions so that the work of the association, especially in connection with the school, can be continued. In a review of the activities in the various classes of sport congratulations are extended to W. Batty and M. Corner in gaining New Zealand honours in Rugby, and to three other members, A. Knight, J. Hutchison and W. Macindoe, who gained representative honours. The swimming club had a satisfactory season, the outstanding performer being Gordon Bridson. A hockey flub has been formed, and teams are competing this season in the second and third competitionss. Next season it is hoped that the Old Boys will be represented in the Auckland tennis competitions. Many inquiries have been made, adds the report, as to the reforming of an athletic cub, and the executive considers the time now opportune.
